Student-Led Food Drive
Our students take active roles in supporting the local Charlotte community, learning empathy and social responsibility through hands-on service.
Operation Sandwich
Most months of the school year, our children make more than 200 sandwiches for Roof Above, supporting their work in feeding our unhoused neighbors in Charlotte. It's a small act with a real lesson: that meaningful care for others can start with your own two hands.
MerryWood on Park
In February, our children wrote and delivered Valentine's Day letters and crafts to residents at MerryWood on Park, just down Park Road — building real friendship between generations, one handwritten note at a time.

How do I know if Montessori is right for my child?
Because the Montessori environment is fully individualized, children of all personality type, from energetic to deeply quiet, thrive at their own developmental pace. The best indicator of a good fit is a shared belief between home and school in fostering independence, intrinsic motivation, and respect. We encourage all prospective parents to schedule a classroom observation to see our calm, engaging community in action.
Without grades, tests, or worksheets, how do teachers evaluate progress?
Our teachers continuously assess progress through detailed daily observation and rigorous record-keeping rather than high-stakes testing.
Teachers verify a child's true mastery of a concept before moving on to the next step, possible in 1-on-1 or small group lessons. Parents receive complete, individual progress reports of their child's academic, social, and emotional growth through conferences twice a year.
Starting in their 3rd year, elementary children are introduced to standardized testing.
How do students transition when moving to a traditional school?
Because Montessori fosters self-discipline, time management, and adaptability, students usually transition to traditional classrooms with ease.Academically, the hands-on, conceptual learning in Montessori typically places students at or above grade level when entering traditional systems. They adapt quickly because they are confident, self-motivated learners used to working both independently and collaboratively.
